Hello! My name is Pedro Henrique Filgueiras dos Santos Oliveira, a computer science undergraduate focusing my personal studies in Data Science. I’ve started doing research at Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora in 2021, applying concepts of data science and data analysis to gather insights in the Ethereum cryptocurrency network. Since then, I’ve been studying more and more concepts and practices in the data ecosystem, looking to make a greater impact with my knowledge!
Experience
Ethereum Research | 2021 - Current
I have studied and used a lot of knowledge in the data science field, applying it to scientific research in the Ethereum blockchain. We have published and presented a paper in the brazilian symposium of networks and computers, talking about the influence of Russia’s invasion in Ukraine in the Ethereum cryptocurrency.
Praças Project | 2021 - 2022
As my first experience in a web development project, I participated as a full-stack developer for a web application for creating a catalog for the squares and parks in the city of Juiz de Fora.
GETComp - Events Organization | 2021 - 2022
In 2021, I entered GETComp, a group of students advised by a professor in order to contribute to research, teaching in with projects towards the academic and non-academic public. In GETComp, I was one of the presenters of GETMeeting, an annual event with various workshops and was a member of the organization commitee for “Semana da Computação”, the main computer science related event in the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora, with talks, workshops and courses related to the field of study.
ns-3 network simulator analyses | 2019 - 2020
Had my first contact with data analysis libraries and languages. In this project, I assisted my advisor professor with analyses of data from simulation experiments in the network simulator ns-3.
